Spring at last... at least it was?

Hi everyone! It's been forever since I posted, so I figured that I should post some pictures. We just took these over the weekend.

We stopped by at Bridal Veil Falls and the kids had a good time playing in the water and jumping on and off of big rocks.

There were a lot of great places for taking pictures. Unfortunately the kids weren't as excited about that part, so it was hard to catch them all in a good pose.

In the picture above, they are on a bridge, from left to right: Tallie (9), Lexi (6), Tyler (5) and Zack (11).

In the picture below, we all posed and Lott ran in to join us while the camera was on a timer. This was taken on the same bridge. The kids did a decent job of
holding their smiles for the timer, don't
you think?

Later , we let the kids go fishing with their cousins. Both of the girls caught fish, and let them go. Tallie caught the same fish twice after it played dead for a while. Zack and Tyler were more interested in the water skippers.

At one point, Tyler had to go to the bathroom. Lott sent him to the bushes. The problem was that he didn't face the bushes, instead he faced the entire park with his pants halfway down! It was really funny, actually.

Lexi and her cousin, Joshua, are really close. Aren't they so cute together? They're only 6 months apart!

This is the most recent of our family. It was taken on the day of Tallie's baptism. In case anyone is wondering, we are (from left to right): Tyler(3), Lott, Zack(9), Tallie(8), Michelle, Lexi(4).

Visiting Teaching Clip

We're famous! This is the trailer for our ward's visiting teaching movie. It premiers on November 20th at our Visiting Teaching Conference. The movie will follow Sister Turner, a visiting teacher that needs a serious attitude change and gets it in an unexpected way. The movie is humorous but has a spiritual message. I have to give credit to Joe Peck, who wrote and directed it and to Jim Hughes, who filmed and edited it. They really put in a lot of work for our Relief Society. We can't wait to see the full movie! It's going to be a lot of fun and even better than what we were looking for.

I hear the camera adds weight, but I swear it added like 50 pounds to me!!! So, don't pay any attention to the scene with me in it, because that's not what I really look like... LOL!

Tallie's Baptism

Today was a beautiful day for Tallie. She was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Watching a baptism always reminds me of the simplicity of the Gospel, but it is even sweeter to watch your own child take upon them the name of Christ and make those sacred promises. I've got good kids. I really am blessed that way. But, it's hard to believe that my little baby is already 8-years-old! She is becoming so mature and grown up.

Tallie's friend, Samantha, was baptized on the same day and we shared the program with her family. Tallie said that she felt "brand new" when she was done. Afterward, we had a big luncheon with all of Lott's family and a couple of Tallie's friends. It was a special day. Check out all of the pretty pictures.

School is in session!!

It's been very hot this summer, but the time has sure flown by! School has started and we're slowly getting back into the swing of things. Zack and Tallie started last week. Zack in the 4th grade, and Tallie in 2nd. Can you believe it?!! Tyler and Lexi are both in preschool this year. Lexi started yesterday and today was Tyler's first day! I can't believe it, he seems so little for school. But he is eager and is quick to get rid of me when I drop him off!! Lexi missed the cutoff date for kindergarten, so she will be in 4-year-old preschool this year, but her teacher said that she is ready to start reading... so it should be an exciting and busy year. I don't know about you, but the first day of school feels almost like new years to me. There's so much to do to get ready and so many goals and plans that we have. I'll keep you posted with news and pictures. Stay tuned!!
